Image locations and type

The image type is gif, but i want to use PNG files. Can that be made "User type"?

This is the same for image location. I want to specify the location myself. Is this possible in current version?

It's not possible directly, but you can modify the source (Check out the latest from the TFS) to do so.

You can also write your own code for conversion of images from gif to png


Take a look at my blog @ I posted a link to an article about weather API images, it may come in handy. Also take a look at the previous posts here on CodePlex.

I can not find a previous discussion which handles the file location. Where in source code can i change image location??

I already changed the png files in gif files.

Can not figure out where to place the images...

Or are they on the google site?

Yup, the images are located on google's web servers
